Q: How do I know if Murphy Library has the journal I need?

A: You can find Murphy's periodicals holdings information several different ways. The quickest and easiest way is to check our Periodicals Locator. This database includes electronic, print and microform holdings for Murphy Library, Gundersen Lutheran's Health Sciences Library, and La Crosse Public Library. You can also locate Murphy's periodicals holdings in the Library Catalog. Type the title in the Find This box and under Choose a Search Type select Journal Title. While the resulting information will not include actual journal articles, the record will indicate if certain volumes are at the bindery and even the volume and issue number of the latest issue that we have received.

Q: How do I find which journals you have on a certain subject (like microbiology, art, or education)?

A: Please browse our journals by subject or select the "subject" tab on the Periodicals Locator.  We hand-select titles for the journals by subject list.  These lists include core journal titles for each subject.
