Foundation Directory Online (The Foundation Center): is a searchable index of 125,000 grants of over $10,000 awarded by top funders in the United States. Records include name/location of the recipient, grant description, year, amount, and funder contact information. Note: This resource is available to current UW-L faculty and students only. GPO Access Databases:    Databases of official, full-text documents and other information resources from the U.S. Federal Government, published by the U.S. Government Printing Office. GreenFILE (EBSCOhost): includes citations for articles on information covering all aspects of human impact on the environment. Citations for scholarly, government, and popular articles in areas of agriculture, education, law, health, and technology are all part of this resource. Topics include climate change, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more. Citations and abstracts are included for over 380,000 records. Grove Music Online (Grove): This online version of the Grove Dictionary of Music, contains over 30,000 articles on every aspect of the music world including bibliographies on composers and musicians. Historical U.S. County Boundary Files 1790-1999 (LSU Geoscience Publications):    The HUSCO dataset contains ArcView shapefile format U.S. county boundary files for each decade from 1790 through 1990, and also 1999.  Files include county and state names and identification numbers.  Found on the Statistics/Geography workstation in the reference area. In the First Person (Alexander Street Press): This free database is an index to English language personal narratives, including letters, diaries, memoirs, autobiographies, and oral histories for more than 300,000 people. The index covers both free and commercial subscription sites and contains information about 20,500 months of diary entries, 63,000 letters, and 17,000 oral history entries. Industrial and Applied Microbiology Abstracts (Microbiology A) (Cambridge Scientific): Citations and abstracts from journal articles covering all aspects of agricultural, food and beverage, chemical, and the pharmaceutical industries. Coverage: 1982 to present. Updated: monthly. International Encyclopedia for the Middle Ages (BREPOLiS).  supplements the Lexikon des Mittelalters and is produced jointly by the UCLA Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies and Brepolis Publishers. Entries cover all of Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East and focus on dioceses; prelates; people, tribes, and cultures; as well as scholastic authors. These resources always involve software licenses, copyright restrictions, and other contractual agreements which require them to be restricted to a specific group. This group is often University of Wisconsin-La Crosse faculty, staff and students only. 

If you come to the library or use a computer on campus via the campus LAN, you are considered a valid library patron.
