GMID - Global Market Information Database (Euromonitor): Contains
over 4 million statistics on industries, countries, and consumers as
well as 15,000 industry, company, country, and consumer reports.
This resource also includes 205 country reports and market and brand
share rankings. Individual and cross-country comparisons
of data types include demographic and
economic statistics, lifestyle indicators including
housing and household facilities, travel and tourism trends, GDP
trends, and

Databases of official, full-text documents and other information

GreenFILE (EBSCOhost):
includes citations for articles on information covering all aspects
of human impact on the environment. Citations for scholarly,
government, and popular articles in areas of agriculture, education,
law, health, and technology are all part of this resource. Topics
include climate change, green building, pollution, sustainable
agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more. Citations and

Music Online (Grove):
This online version of the Grove Dictionary of Music,
contains over 30,000 articles on every aspect of the music

Historical U.S. County Boundary Files
1790-1999 (LSU Geoscience Publications):
The HUSCO dataset contains ArcView shapefile format U.S. county
boundary files for each decade from 1790 through 1990, and also 1999.
Files include county and state names and identification numbers. Found on the Statistics/Geography workstation in the
reference area.

World Cultures (HRAF)(formally eHRAF Collection of

A cross-cultural database that contains
over 350,000 pages of information on all aspects of cultural and
social life. eHRAF is the online portion, covering
approximately 150 cultures. Together with the corresponding
microfiche set (Murphy Library basement), over 400 cultures are

This free database is an index to English language
personal narratives, including letters, diaries, memoirs,
autobiographies, and oral histories for more than 300,000 people.
The index covers both free and commercial subscription sites and
contains information about 20,500 months of diary entries, 63,000
letters, and 17,000 oral history entries.
International Encyclopedia for the Middle Ages (BREPOLiS).
supplements the
Lexikon des Mittelalters and is produced jointly by the UCLA
Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies and Brepolis
Publishers. Entries cover all of Europe, North Africa, and the
Middle East and focus on dioceses; prelates; people, tribes, and
cultures; as well as scholastic authors. Coverage: 300-1500.
