The Newman Center is accepting applications for a part-time (10ish
hrs or so/wk) student housekeeper for the summer to help keep the Center
looking its best. If you plan to be around and are interested in earning
extra bucks, see Linda at the reception window at the Center.
The Week In Review - May 4 - 10
Students
take notice - May 11 will be the last 7:00 pm Sunday Mass until the start
of the fall semester.
Sunday:
Mass: at 9:00 & 11:15am and 7:00pm
Monday:
Salvation Army - 4:15 Sign up in the Center entrance and meet here at
4:15. Takes about an hour.
Next Sunday Bible Study - 7:pm - in the Bartl

Tuesday:
**Catholicism 101 - 7:pm
- An adult look at
your Catholic, Christian faith.
**Faith Matters - Student Discussion Group - 8:30 - Student faith discussion group on
topics related to all things Catholic. Tonight's come and Stump the pastor: an opportunity
to ask anything you’ve ever wanted to know about God, religion in
general or Catholicism in particular.

Are you looking for more ways to get involved at
the Newman Center? Check out a few of these options for next year!
Res. Hall Reps: Res. Hall Reps. are students
living in the Res. halls that act as liaisons between Newman and life on
Campus. They meet with Kristin on a monthly basis to plan activities that
are held in their Res. Halls. This is a great way to meet other Newmanites
living in your Res. Hall. Come to our next meeting on Tuesday April
29th at 7pm to find out what we do AND enjoy in some delicious
refreshments!
Junior/Senior Leadership Team: Are you a junior, senior (or even a
Super Senior) or Grad. Student that has recognized the importance Newman
is playing in your college life? Come be part of a team that plans
activities for all student members as well as serves as an ambassador and
resource between the Newman Center and University students. This is a NEW
team for 2008/2009 school. If interested contact Kristin so we can
set up a meeting and discuss initial plans for next school year!
Bible Share Leader: Do the Scriptures touch your faith life in a
special way? Do you enjoy sharing your thoughts and feelings about how the
Scripture affects your life? How would you like to bring the joy of
reading the Bible to your peers? Consider becoming a Bible Share leader.
We’ll prepare you to lead others in a weekly discussion about the
readings for the following Sunday.
