Anglo American Educational Services Internships
UW-L has joined with Anglo American Educational Services (AAE) as an affiliate institution to expand our internship opportunities for students. AAE is a provider that works with U.S. campuses to provide a full service study abroad experience.
Anglo American is be responsible for:
- Identifying and securing a placement in relation to the Intern’s interests and skills
- Supplying pre-departure information materials and an orientation meeting on arrival
- Arranging interviews relevant to placement
- Supervision on a regular and consistent basis
- Conducting on-site visits
- Checking journals
- Organizing final meeting for student feedback
- Distributing and collecting evaluation forms
- Submitting to home campus a final assessment of intern’s performance
- Providing accommodations in safe, central residential locations
PROGRAM
OPPORTUNITIES
AAE offers English speaking internships in
the United Kingdom. These placements can range from six (6) weeks to
an academic year.
PROGRAM FEE
The program fee includes the following:
- Tuition and Administrative Fees
- Pre-payment of program fees on your behalf
- Preparation of Financial Aid Budgets
- Orientation to Study Abroad Class*
- Registration while abroad in INS 300: Foreign Study to maintain your registration at UW-L
- Transfer of Credit Processing
- International Student Identity Card (ISIC)
- Study Abroad Health Insurance (required by UW System)
- Study Abroad Graduation Sash
Other costs not included in program fee:
- Airfare
- Meals
- Work Permit
Financial Aid is applicable to program fees
*Students are required to participate in the one credit INS 250 Orientation class the semester prior to the start of their internship. Students must make room in their schedule to accommodate this additional credit. [Those students who have studied abroad previously are exempt from this requirement.]

Program Prerequisites
Interns will be required to:
- Have a minimum 2.75 GPA in academic major
- Submit written permission from their academic institution
- Submit an application and resume
- Secure necessary work permit, if required
- Assume financial responsibility for accommodations, meals, local transportation and personal expenses
- Pay an administrative fee
