Hessen Internships

The Hessen-Wisconsin Exchange is an initiative capitalizing on the long-standing sister state relationship between the State of Wisconsin and the State of Hessen. The goal is to increase student mobility and enhance mutual cooperation among higher education institutions. Internships are also available for qualified students.

In 2002 a new internship initiative was begun in Hessen with coordination at the Fachhochschule (University of Applied Sciences) in Fulda. Hessen Networks! aims to facilitate internship placements in Hessen for those interested students.

One special initiative of Hessen Networks is the summer Hessen Global program which offers students a high quality academic experience in German with a focus on sustainable development. This exciting opportunity offers: a 5-week international team internship in the fields of environmental education, sustainable tourism, and regional development; academic seminars and workshops; intensive German language course; an outstanding cultural and sports program as well as leisure activities; and visits to Berlin and Weimar.
