Copenhagen Business School
Summer Application Deadline: February 1
Copenhagen Business School
Copenhagen Business School
views itself as a European University and strives to be among the best
institutions of higher education in Europe. Research and teaching are
conducted according to European standards and quality is measured up
against the best foreign universities. CBS sees the “Øresund region” as
a natural home ground and is heavily engaged in the networking
cooperation between the Copenhagen area and Southern Sweden within the
framework of the Øresundsuniversitet.
Copenhagen
Definitely worth considering when that city is
Copenhagen where the streets are filled with sidewalk cafes and the
midnight sky is not black but deep blue. Close to the city and waiting
for you to discover are quaint mediaeval towns, white beaches and lovely
forests. You can walk the winding streets of the old city center or see
it from a canal boat. Your extracurricular activities will include
getting to know both modern Danish Design and Architecture as well as a
little of the Iron and Viking Ages. Travel is easy from Copenhagen and
in a weekend you can take a cruise to Oslo for a variation on the
Scandinavian theme or a train trip to Berlin to see how East and West
are getting along.
Housing & Meals
The cost
of housing and meals is not included in the program fee. Most Danish
universities do not own student-housing facilities. The Danish students
either live at home, in private flats or in one of the housing
facilities available for young people in the Greater Copenhagen area.
Accommodation for international students is organized through the
Housing Office within The International Office at CBS. There are three
types of accommodation available: private residence halls, shared
apartments, or renting a room in private homes. The costs can vary
depending on the size and amenities. All housing options provide access
to basic cooking facilities.
Descriptions of housing options and costs are available on-line.
Academic Program
This summer program offers students the opportunity to take classes in a
multicultural environment. All students MUST take two classes.
Each class meets for three hours twice a week for five weeks. The
sixth week is reserved for examinations.
Undergraduate Course Offerings
~ Summer courses will be available after
January 15th.

COURSE EQUIVALENCIES
The
course equivalencies
spreadsheets have been compiled from
past approved Academic Plan forms.
They show when the course was last approved and
how it transferred back to La Crosse. You may notice that
some classes satisfied several UWL options.
This list is not comprehensive nor does it take the place of meeting with your advisor for final approval! They are meant to be a guide of what courses may be appropriate for your studies abroad.
PASSPORTS & VISAS
Before you travel abroad, you will need
to obtain a passport, which will serve as proof of your U.S.
citizenship. A passport may allow you to gain entry to (and exit from)
other countries. Depending on the country to which you're traveling, a
visa may be required as well.
Entry requirements vary from one country to another. The U.S. State
Department issues
travel warnings specific to certain countries, and offers
tips and publications relevant to travel abroad generally. Well in
advance of your departure, you should also familiarize yourself with
international travel health issues, and health recommendations
specific to your destination.
