Commuting by bike is a
simple way to cut down on campus congestion and help
preserve the environment - but biking to work also
offers other personal benefits! Biking may improve your
health, save you money, offer convenient parking and
save you time in your daily commute. |

Bikes on MTU. Students can ride the bus fare-free
and employees can ride the bus for a minimal fare on any of
the MTU's six routes throughout the greater La Crosse
area as part of the
U-PASS Program. Every MTU bus is equipped with a
bike rack that holds two bikes. Bike permits are
not required. All you need to do is just ride
your bike to your bus stop, load it onto the bike rack
at the front of the bus, and you're set to go!
For more information, please refer to the MTU
Bike 'n' Ride guide. |

Bikes on Campus. The

renting bike lockers and bikes, providing information on
bike safety, bike outings and skill clinics during the
semester, and maps of bike trails in the area. |

Bike
Registration.
It's FREE!
Register your bike
with the La Crosse County Sheriff's Department or with
the
National Bike Registry. If your bike is stolen, its
serial number is needed in order to aid police in its
recovery. Recovered bikes that are not registered have
less chance of being returned to their rightful owners,
since proof of ownership is often more difficult. Watch
for "Welcome Week" activities at the
beginning of the fall semester and you can register your
bike right on campus! |
