
Women in Physics
Purpose:
The University of Wisconsin - La Crosse Women In Physics formed in Spring 2004 with the following goals:
- To act as a support system for the minority of women in Physics.
- To aid in the bringing of female Physicists/Engineers to Physics Seminar, as well as having extra opportunities to speak with her during the club meeting
- To encourage younger girls to consider sciences, in particular Physics.

WIP Membership:
Membership is open to anyone interested in the issues faced by Women in Physics. There are no dues required at this time to join.
Meetings:
Meetings will be held monthly beginning the first week of class at 4:30 p.m. and subsequently on the first Wednesday of every month.
All students interested in WIP are encouraged to attend meetings or contact one of the officers listed above. Meetings are held on Wednesdays 4:30 p.m. in Cartwright Center. Flyers are posted in Cowley Hall.
