Welcome to the PK16 Writing Partnership website!
The PK16
Writing Partnership is a staff development initiative
in writing assessment and instruction for education
professionals. Project
participants include teachers and administrators in the school
districts of Cashton, Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau, Onalaska and
Sparta, and preservice teachers and faculty in the departments
of English and Educational Studies at the University of
Wisconsin-La Crosse.
The major focus of the project is to learn and support each
others’ learning about the Six Traits of writing and writing
assessment. This
site has been designed to benefit all project participants, by
keeping everyone informed about grant activities, providing a
place to post information, and providing links to other
resources and sites related to writing instruction and
assessment.
