Research/Results
The focus of
this project is the improvement of students’ writing.
To that end, samples of students’ writing will be
gathered across the project, and the papers will be evaluated
for evidence of growth and development in writing.
Follow-up studies will assess inter-rater reliability
between scorers of writing.
The
project presents significant opportunities for classroom
action research on the part of K12 educators.
There are also opportunities for research into staff
development, writing instruction and assessment, and
preservice teacher development.
