Doug Baumann and James Peirce, both Mathematics & Statistics, received the award for National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) in Ecological Modeling of the Mississippi River Basin at NSF REU on Mar. 20, 2019 in La Crosse, WI. Mathematics, Statistics, & Biology faculty and research scientists at the US Geological Survey will work with 8 students a year on projects in mathematical modeling, data analysis, and ecology.
