As Chair, I drafted the final reports to Faculty Senate in
May 2005 and May 2006 (see
Appendix C1). During this period, CAPS tackled the
difficult issue of rising student enrollments, the admissions standards and
policies used to increase the enrollments, and the profile of continuing and
new students. A significant amount
of data was gathered on student enrollments based on a variety of student
characteristics, which I was also largely responsible for sorting through and
presenting to the committee for discussion.
