Patents and Inventions
PI/PDs who believe they have a potential patent or invention should contact the Office of Sponsored Research, Scholarly and Creative Activities for further information on patent procedures. The Office of Sponsored Research, Scholarly and Creative Activities works very closely with WiSys on all issues/policies related to patents/inventions. It is the responsibility of the PI and the respective Dean or Director to assure that agreements entered into with Federal agencies, or with certain private agencies, are followed with respect to the reporting and handling of inventions and patents.
