Academic Staff Professional Development Grants
The critical functions performed by academic staff require professional development opportunities be facilitated for both individual and institutional reasons. In 1983-84 System Administration determined that there were few formal development opportunities for academic staff.
The Board of Regents established the professional development grant program for academic staff and funded the first proposals on July 1, 1985. These grants aim to enhance individual professional development, to improve program quality, and to improve institutional effectiveness.
