External Funding Sources and Grant Information
Extramural funding can come to the University through a variety of entry points, via multiple pathways. Faculty and staff at UWL who wish to pursue extramural funding for their projects should be aware that the Office of Sponsored Research, Scholarly and Creative Activities is prepared to provide assistance in the pursuit of such external grant support.
The Office of Sponsored Research, Scholarly and Creative Activities provides access to a collection of web based and print sources to support faculty, administrators, staff, and grant administrators in identifying relevant funding opportunities and acquiring application materials.
Website links provide three of the major federal sources of extramural support including the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, and the U.S. Department of Education. Most Federal Grants are announced daily on www.grants.gov which can be subscribed by all interested faculty and staff.
