Growth and Access Open Forum
REMINDER: there will be an all-campus open forum regarding Growth and Access on Friday, February 2, 2007, in 260 Graff Main Hall (Auditorium) from 2:30-4:30 p.m.
Diane Schumacher Retires from Enrollment Services
Diane Schumacher who has served as registrar and the director of Enrollment Services is retiring from UW-L. She will end full-time employment February 2, but will continue her work with the curriculum committees and see the new catalog through to completion, so you are likely to see her on campus. A retirement celebration will be held sometime in April with official retirement at the end of the fiscal year. Decisions regarding the leadership of Enrollment Services and the registrar position have not yet been made.
Invitation to Apply: Faculty Intern to the Provost
Betsy Morgan, the current faculty intern in the Provost’s Office, will complete her term on June 30 of this year. She has been serving as faculty intern since July 1, 2005. Dr. Morgan will return to the Psychology Department at the beginning of the 2007-2008 Academic Year. She is particularly proud of her work assisting the Academic Program Review Committee and the Joint Promotion Committee, and learning to appreciate the complexities of the budget process during her internship. The staff of the Provost's Office will miss her humor, straightforwardness and no-nonsense approach to handling projects.

“By the Numbers” Newsletter
The Office of Institutional Research is producing a regular newsletter entitled “By the Numbers” designed to share the knowledge, experience, and findings of the office with UW-L students, staff, faculty, and administrators. The December newsletter discusses selectivity in admissions at UW-L in comparison to regional and national data.
