and emergency care procedures. Students will learn emergency
care procedures through mock practice. They will be exposed to
advanced taping techniques, equipment selection and fitting,
spineboarding , and receive certification in CPR/AED for the
Professional Rescuer and First Aid. Prerequisites: ESS 181.

The
management of nonprofit organizations has become an increasingly
important field of study given the importance and role of
nonprofit organizations within our society. This course will
provide students with a general overview of management practices
that are specific to nonprofit organizations. Specifically,
those courses will examine the scope, dimensions, and roles of
nonprofit organizations, particularly those designated by the
IRS as 501 (c) 3, in order to understand their distinctive
characteristics and functions in society. Offered Semester II.
