Intern Program
A practicum and/or training course individually tailored to fit career needs in ESL: jobs or field experiences with government agencies, business and professional firms, adult literacy programs, teaching at college level or overseas. While some internships may be remunerative, not all are necessarily so. Only jobs and experiences approved by the director of the ESL Institute are acceptable for credit. Prerequisites: approval by ESL director, a declared major in Business, Liberal Studies, Science and Allied Health, Recreation, or a declared minor in ESL, a cumulative grade point average of 2.50, native or near-native proficiency in English, FLG 475/575, and ENG 330 or 332. Repeatable for credit maximum 12. Pass/Fail grading.
