PRE-REQUISIT: This is not a beginer class. One must have attended the Kayak I or II clinic or equivilent kayaking experience.

Equipment, instruction and coupon for a free daily kayak rental


Description: This clinic offers the opportunity to work on developing your Eskimo roll, the ultimate self-rescue for kayakers. Learn your roll with a group of new friends in a low-stress environment. Whitewater and touring paddlers are all welcome. If you participated in the Fall Rolling Clinic or Kayak Pool Clinic I, then you get a $10 discount.

Description: Essential for anyone who spends significant time in remote places or who has a professional career in the outdoors, the Wilderness First Responder (WFR) course will prepare you to make difficult medical decisions. This course is fast-paced and engaging. You’ll spend half your time outside of the classroom doing hands-on skills and realistic scenarios.

Description: Join us for an experience of a lifetime!  We’ll be visiting what National Geographic has called one of the top 50 places to visit in one’s lifetime. We’ll be staying in comfortable heated cabins at YMCA’s Camp Menogyn. Experience several winter activities including: dog sledding, cross country skiing, & snowshoeing.

Registration: Registration for all trips and clinics are based on a first come first served basis. To register for a trip, a full payment is required for those trips or clinics that cost less than $50. A 50% deposit is required for all others. Register at the OC Service Counter in the Recreational Eagle Center.

Eligibility: Most activities are open to everyone, however UW-L students always have the first priority. Registration fees are also higher for faculty/staff and the general public.

Payment: We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard and Discover Card. S = Student P= Public or Fac/Staff

Refunds: Full refunds are available if 10 business days notice, prior to the pre-trip meeting, is given. 50% of a full trip payment is refundable with less than 10 business days.

Activity Rating Scale: To assist you in selecting from our offerings, we rated our outings and clinics on a subjective scale of physical difficulty. Physical difficulty is based upon the average college student’s ability. If you have any questions or concerns about physical difficulty, we encourage you to contact us.
A = Low to moderate physical activity
B = Moderate to strenuous physical activity
C = Strenuous to very strenuous physical activity
