Strength Center - 40-Point Platform test
The
UW-L Rec Sports Strength Center supports the National Strength
and Conditioning Association’s (NSCA) position state regarding
explosive lifts and weightlifting. Click here to view the

40-Point Platform Test?
Any student/member is encouraged to Test Out to utilize the
Olympic lifting platforms. In order to pass the test, one must
be evaluated by a Rec Sports Professional Strength Center Staff
member.
How do I schedule an appointment for the
40-Point Platform Test?
Students/members can test out on a first come, first served
basis in the Strength Center at the Recreational Eagle Center.
Appointments can be made in person at least one day prior to
the desired appointment time.
40-Point Platform Test Dates and Times
Each test will take approximately 15 minutes
J-term: Monday-Friday
8a-7p
Semester: Monday-Thursday
6a-3p & 6p-10p
What if I do not pass?
Anyone who does not
pass his/her practical test may opt to attend a 1-hour in-house
workshop which will reinforce the fundamentals of Olympic lifts.

If I pass the 40-Point Platform Test, how do I access the platforms?
Authorized students/members must check-in with the Professional
Strength Center staff member. The
student/member will present his/her Tower ID to the staff member
to be verified
