INSTRUCTORS Dennis Kline, M.S.
C.S.C.S R.S.C.C Dennis is the
Strength Center Manager at the
University of Wisconsin at La
Crosse. Dennis is a Certified
Strength and Conditioning
Specialist (NSCA-CSCS) and
Registered Strength and
Conditioning Coach (NSCA-RSCC)
with a B.S. and M.S. from Miami
University. A former Olympic
trials participant, Assistant
Track coach, lecturer in
Exercise and Sport Science,
Rehab Director, and training
consultant for the Mammoth Track
Club. All qualities that allow
Dennis to become an excellent
instructor and mentor for new
certified personal trainers.
Dennis is also certified as a
level I USTAF Track coach, a
USTAF register track coach, and
a USAW club coach.
Lee
Walraven, MS, HFS Lee is the Wellness
Center Director at the La Crosse
Area Family YMCA. Lee oversees
equipment purchases\leases,
hiring and training Wellness
Center and personal training
staff, along with the daily
operations of the La Crosse and
the North branch's Wellness
Center. Lee is a certified
Health Fitness Specialist with a
B.S. in Health Promotion from
South Dakota State University
and a M.S. in Clinical Exercise
Physiology from University of
Wisconsin at La Crosse. He has
done over 800 hours of clinical
experience working in
cardiopulmonary rehabilitation
and cardiac diagnostics/stress
testing. Lee's emphasis has been
working with patients with
cardiac disease, metabolic
syndrome, or pulmonary disease.
Lee is active and has taught
many classes ranging from Silver
Sneakers for active older adults
to platoon physical training
during his 9 years of military
service. His experience in the
clinical setting and his wide
range of exercise classes taught
allows him to bring a diverse
perspective to instructing
personal training.
