Aikido

Overview

Aikido is a martial art, which teaches techniques of self-defense. This martial art is built around the concept of blending your body and energy with the body and energy of an attacker. Aikido is a non-violent system of not only self-defense but also personal development. Club members strive to enhance their abilities through constant, sincere training.

Aikido practice emphasizes mind-boy coordination.

Aikido includes defenses against various grabs, strikes, kicks, weapons, and multiple attackers, as well as selective practice in the arts of the wooden sword (bokken) and wooden stave (jo).
