Thinking about living off campus?
There is always quality off campus housing available in La Crosse so don’t be in a rush to sign a lease for the following year in the first semester of college. Once you sign a lease, it is difficult to get out of or find someone to take it over if you determine that you no longer want to live with those whom you signed the lease. www.Findaplacetolive.com is a free website to look for rental units. Always walk through a place and meet with the landlord before signing any lease. Also thoroughly read the lease before signing it. It is also helpful to talk to current renters about the landlord and how quickly s/he responds to issues.emergencies, etc. |
Want to get involved and meet new people in your hall? If you do then you should apply to be an executive officer in your hall. Each hall has a hall government which provides various functions to the hall including planning fun activities, making decisions about the hall, and discussing important campus issues. Execs are people who help create the activities, plan the hall council meetings and are leaders in the hall. These positions offer opportunities for you to grow as a leader and get involved in campus right away! If this sounds like fun to you, please check out this website for more information: https://reslife.uwlax.edu/hallelection
And as always please Contact the Res Life Office with any questions.
