Professor of Military Science
Lieutenant Colonel Stewart Fearon

Lieutenant Colonel Fearon assumed duties as the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse Professor of Military Science on July 1, 2005. Prior to this assignment, he served as the Regional Engineer at the 9 th Regional Readiness Command (RRC) where he was the principal manager for all 9 th RRC military construction projects, facility maintenance, environmental compliance, and real estate throughout the Pacific Region.

LTC Fearon was commissioned in the Army Corps of Engineers in 1987 and has served in various assignments including: Platoon Leader, and Company Executive Officer in the 293 rd Engineer Battalion in Baumholder Germany; as a Mechanical Engineer, Program Integrator, and Program Support Branch Chief for the Defense Logistics Agency; as an Adjutant for the 11 th Engineer Battalion, and Company Commander of Alpha Company, Headquarters Command at Fort Stewart, Georgia. In Colorado he served as the Commander B Company, and Battalion Operations Officer for the 4 th Engineer Training Battalion. He was assigned to West Virginia State College where he was an Assistant Professor of Military Science and then the Recruiting and Retention Officer.

LTC Fearon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a Master of Business Administration from National University in San Diego . His professional military education includes Engineer Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, the Combined Arms and Services Staff School , Command and General Staff College, and the Sustaining Base Leadership Management Course.


LTC Fearon's awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Army Achievement Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, the National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star, the Global War on Terror Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Over Seas Service Ribbon, the Army Parachute Badge, and Bronze De Fluery Medal.

He is married to the former Brenda Campos and they have two daughters, Rikki and Amanda.
