Dr. Steffen is a full professor at UW-La Crosse. In addition to supervising the PE Pedagogy graduate assistants Dr. Steffen also:

has over 20 years of experience in Physical Education. is an active researcher in the area of Adventure Education and outdoor pursuits. is past President of Council of Outdoor Education is a post executive board member for International Association of Challenge Course Technology advises graduate and undergraduate students in planning pedagogic courses of study. teaches pedagogy classes for graduate and undergraduate majors. helps students with relocation to the La Crosse area. has a wife, Kate, and three children - Kristen, Peter, and Paul.
