NOTE: Students enrolled in Exercise and Sport Science majors must earn a grade of ‘C’ or better in all required ESS courses listed in the prescribed program.
TEACHER EDUCATION ADMISSION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Meeting minimum application requirements does not guarantee admission to the Teacher Education Program.
- NOTE: Students are advised to complete the Pre-Professional Skills Test before the end of their freshman year. Minimum passing scores are: RDG 175; MTH 173; and WRT 174.
- Admission to Student Teaching requires a 2.75 grade point average in the cumulative, major/minor and education sequence. All clinical/field experiences and course work must be completed prior to Student Teaching.
- Prior to entering student teaching students must:
- Provide official, passing scores for the PRAXIS II Subject Assessment,
- Have earned minimum 2.75 grade point averages in the cumulative and in all areas of licensure.
