Recreation Management graduate students may choose an internship as the culminating project of their masters program. This is full-time or near full-time work with an agency or business in the recreation field. Examples include, but are not limited to municipal park and recreation departments, YMCA’s, environmental education facilities, resorts, and fitness centers.
While all students benefit from additional field experience, the internship option is especially popular with students who did not have a strong recreation background prior to entering the masters program.
Information about the approval process and responsibilities of an intern are described on the Recreation Management Internship website.
