SDAS Student Learning Committee
Committee Charge:
The Student Learning Committee is charged with identifying and assessing
student learning outcomes associated with the division of Student
Development and Academic Services.
The committee should review the proposed general education
outcomes and align student learning outcomes associated with learning
opportunities in SDAS and partner with our academic partners.
The Committee should then analyze methods for assessing these
learning outcomes, partner with the SDAS Staff Development Committee and
make recommendations to the division directors and the dean of students.
Recommendations should address student learning in a holistic
perspective and reflect the values of the division.
Division Value:
Student Learning– We believe learning is a life long developmental
process. We create
opportunities in a safe environment for students to explore and develop
skills and experiences that assist them as they become competent,
skilled, caring, successful, contributing members of our global society.
We view student learning holistically.
Thus we seek to both challenge and support students in all
dimensions of their growth: intellectual, social, emotional, physical,
spiritual, occupational, and ethical.
