Students for a Free Tibet (SFT) is a UW-L student organization that aims to spread the awareness of human rights violations that have occurred and continue to occur in Tibet. It will also bring together those who are interested in learning more about the Tibetan heritage and culture and will aim to educate students, faculty, staff, and community members about Tibetan culture in the efforts to preserve it. Through education, grassroots organizing, and non-violent direct action, we look to continue the movement to create positive change in the efforts of regaining Tibetan independence and freedom. Students for a Free Tibet will work to empower young leaders to make changes and create awareness not only for the Tibetan cause, but for all causes fighting for human rights, justice, and equality.

Students for a Free Tibet-La Crosse is currently working on the Enough! Campaign, a movement to create global intervention in support of human rights in Tibet. With the recent self-immolations of Buddhist monks in Tibet, there is a sense of desperation and urgency for citizens across the world to take a stand. Please support this campaign by simply signing the pledge.
