Welcome
Welcome to the website of the Graduate
Reading Program! Reading education at UW-La Crosse is built
on a firm foundation of best practice and current research in
literacy. This multifaceted program is designed to meet the
needs of educators who are interested in ongoing professional
development in reading education as well as those who are interested
in pursuing a master’s degree in education. There are
three different options for the master’s degree: classroom
teacher, reading teacher or reading specialist. Graduate students
may also pursue Wisconsin 316 or 17 licensure as a Reading Teacher
or Reading Specialist.
For more information, contact Dr. Delores Heiden at heiden.delo@uwlax.edu or (608) 785-8149.
