Welcome to Safety on Our Sidewalks

S.O.S.

What's SOS All About?

The Safety on Our Sidewalks, or S.O.S.,  program at UW-La Crosse is a campus volunteer service that provides safe walks on campus and up to 13 blocks off-campus.

This service is available 7 nights a week (when fall and spring term classes are in session) to all students, faculty, and staff who seek a safe alternative to walking alone or simply want someone to talk to.

You can contact us by one of two ways:

  • You can call us at 785-TRUSt (8787) and 2 volunteers will come get you and walk with you to your destination.

  • You can walk up to one of the SOS stations at Cartwright Center (7 days a week) or Murphy Library (Sunday-Thursday) and ask for a safe walk.

Whichever method you prefer, the volunteers will be happy to take you to your destination.  We're here for you!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This service is available daily from 8:30PM - Midnight. If you need a walk and we are not available, take the safe bus, call a friend, or call the University Police @ 7
89-9000.
