English/ Mathematics Specialist

Mathematics courses, English courses, or writing needs,
especially participants with limited proficiency in English,
students with disabilities, multicultural students and returning
adults.
* Assist participants with test taking, essay writing, study
skills, time management and preparation for standardized tests
(PPST, etc.).
* Coordinate preparation and maintenance of newsletter and
webpages.
* Develop and organize workshops to assist students in improving
their collegiate and academic careers.
English Peer Tutors
* Conduct individual tutoring sessions for
English 050, English 110, all English 200 level courses, and
Communications 110.
* Maintain hours for assisting students with writing needs,
especially participants with limited proficiency in English,
students with disabilities, multicultural students and returning
adults.
* Assist participants with test taking, essay writing, study
skills, time management and preparation for standardized tests
(PPST, etc.).
* Maintain necessary student records.
Math Peer Tutors
* Conduct individual tutoring sessions for Math 050, Math 051,
and all 100 and 200 level Math Courses.
* Maintain hours for assisting students with Math needs,
especially participants with limited proficiency in English,
students with disabilities, multicultural students and returning
adults.
* Maintain necessary student records.
General Peer Tutors
* Students may request tutors in other
subjects by contacting their SSS advisor. These peer
tutors will be available on an as needed basis.
* Maintain necessary student records.
