- Everyone
needs a planner by next semester.
- There
needs to be a battle of the bands meeting soon – our charity is going to
be Hunger Task Force for this event.
- Drew
and Eric need to work on getting more band contacts soon. Everyone needs
to also work on coming up with a name for this event, since ‘Tones for
Scones’ was unfairly voted down, we still need a name – email it to
Elliot.
- VP of
Operations – Doughsef McManus
- Missed
Classes
- Punishment
for missed classes next semester – $1.00 per class – The possibility to
reduce these fines rest on your shoulders alone, at the end of each
semester if you have a GPA of 3.0 then your missed classes dues are cut in
half. If you have a 3.5 then the fees are cut by 3/4. If you receive a 4.0
than no matter how many classes you missed you will owe nothing for your
fees. Also important to note, the fees from this punishment will be going
directly to the Benny Oliver fund, so even if you owe a lot because of
your laziness, at least it goes to a great cause. The cap limit for each
member for this punishment is set at $30.
- VP of
Programs – Chris Bushnell
- Parents
weekend – Addresses – 7 Bridges
- Formal
next year – Ideas – Email Bushnell
- VP of
Finance – Adam Swessel
- Ideas
and suggestions for fundraisers email either Elliot or Swessel.
- Eric
David got Cell Inserted – He also wants to do Liz Kaufman – Really bad.
- VP of
Membership – Thomas Connell
- Jerseys for events will be $15-20 a piece.
- Initiate Pins are being ordered. As well
as membership badges.
- Tommy
is emailing professors for student recommendations – these are meant to
get teachers to come forward and ‘finger us’ out as good students.
- If you
have any possible buddies or guys you might know that would like to join
and could also be a productive part of the fraternity – send them Toms’
way.
- VP of
Philanthropy – Eric David (E.D.)
- There
will be another visit to the Alterra old folks home coming up soon –
possibly in February. Chad
is on that.
- Please
ring bells for the Salvation Army, go to bells2ring.org – don’t be lazy.
- Eric
will soon be emailing all of us a student involvement email – please read
it and consider the points that it makes about getting involved on and off
campus.
- Old
Business – Approval of Calendar.
- Approval
of Budget.
- With
the possibility that we might not be needed at Levi’s house this semester
(although he said he would try to get us a gig there) we are setting up a
Halo 2 tournament (fundraiser) on Xbox. This will draw a crowd and will
also be a fun event to help us with our dues.
- Send
out invitations soon to Alumni about exact date and place for our White
Rose Formal in April.
- There
will be no Easter Sunday Meeting – we will reiterate this as it creeps up.
- There
will be a “luncheon” on the last day of classes to celebrate our
successful completion of another year of college. This will most likely be
held at Bushnell’s house, if anyone has a picnic table, blanket, or basket
to contribute to this it would be greatly appreciated.
- The
Voice realized in last weeks’ meeting that he was the only E-Board member
without a budget; this did not please The Voice at all. He tried to have
Eric David motion for it, but Eric David was thinking about Liz Kaufman
and entirely forgot about it. So The Voice made his own move, as the Small
Position Chair for Public Relations he fought for and won a $15 budget.
That smells like Victory to me.
- The
present for Jada Ann will be bought very soon, most likely including
Bushnell, Tom, Colleen and whomever else that would like to participate,
The parents will most likely now be given a dinner gift certificate to use
at their own convenience instead of us forcing it to be on one specific
night. This will most likely occur at Piggy’s. Classy.
