News & Notices
Alternate Side Parking Begins
Alternate side parking began at 1am on Sunday November 1st. To
avoid being ticketed, park your car on the side of the street
correlating to the date as of 1am for the upcoming day. For
example, November 1st officially begins at 12:01am. Your car
should be parked on the odd side of the street.
In addition, The
City of La Crosse Common Council passed an ordinance this summer
that declares an alternate-side parking relief test-zone near
the campus, so if you happen to live within the test area
(see attached map) and you do
not want to move your car everyday, please see the City of La
Crosse's webpage at
www.cityoflacrosse.org/notices to sign up and receive
notifications by text-message, email, or follow them on Twitter.
Additional details about the program are also available on the
above website.
Stay Current
Staying current and involved in state and federal news is
crucial to the responsibilities of the UW-L Student Association. Issues effecting the
University are debated all the time at the
state and federal levels, and the ability to interpret and form
a plan of action in response to state and federal rulings is
vital to the progress of UW-L. The UW-L Student
Association Executive branch has a number of positions,
including the President, Vice President, Shared Governance
Director, and Legislative Issues Director, who are continuously
engaged in state and federal happenings on behalf of UW-L.
