Grassroots/Get Out the Vote (GOTV)
Coordinator
The Get Out the Vote Coordinator will be a position that is offered
only during an election year (every other year). He/She will partner
with the Legislative Issues Director and will work directly with the
Student Association President and all other Board of Directors. The
GOTV Coordinator will run effective non-partisan campaigns on campus
that should congruently match the elections taking place at the
local, state or national level. It shall be the duty of the GOTV
Coordinator to: 1. Stay on top of election debates and editorials to present information to campus, 2. Attend Political Organizational Meetings on Campus in order to create a voter coalition in which to better reach the campus, 3. Promote voter registration and voting to students on campus, 4. Run voter registration campaigns and informational campaigns about all candidates involved in the election, 5. Be actively involved with the UC/ USSA Grassroots Coordinator, 6. Meet with the UW-L UC campus buddy at least once a semester, 7. Meet with UW-L Chancellor or Dean of Students as least one a semester, 8. Meet with the City Clerk of City of La Crosse to set up deputation and voting guidelines, may meet as much as necessary, 9. Meet with Director of Office of Residence Life at least once a semester, incorporate RHAC and residence assistants with registration and deputation. __________________________________________________________ |
