Student Advantage Card
Student Advantage Cards are discount cards for twenty different businesses around the La Crosse area. This program provides students with great deals at lots of businesses around campus as well as provides an economic stimulus opportunity for local businesses. Students have a vested interest in the business community and the UW-L Student Association wanted to show that partnership through this great pilot program. These cards can be picked up FREE at the bookstore.
Academic Initiatives
In 2003, the UW-L Student Association decided that it would provide a fund for student initiatives in four main sectors on campus; Internationalization, Research, Advising, Campus Climate/Diversity. This initiative allowed the development of the Academic Advising and Campus Climate offices. It also allowed students to directly fund more undergraduate research, international education grants, study abroad grants and the disability resource center. Students are able to use any of the listed resources including applying for study abroad and undergraduate research grants. Campus Legal Services
The UW-L Student Association also provides free campus legal services for students. A lawyer can help you with guidance on matters regarding tickets, city violations, leases and contracts. Please contact the student life office to set up an appointment.
