Student Association
235 Cartwright Center

The UW-L Student Association (UWLSA) is a student run organization that promotes, protects, and defends UW-L student interests, and improves the University through a united effort.

The UW-L Student Association mission statement is as follows:
The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Student Association, composed of the entire student body, serves as an equal voice for all students in the University’s decision-making process and promotes open communication among students, the UW-L community, and the UW System.

The UW-L Student Senate mission statement is as follows:
UW-L Student Senate seeks to provide a student voice by advocating for student rights and responsibilities, fostering leadership, communicating student issues, and demonstrating respect for diversity in our actions.

The UWLSA is comprised of the Student Senate, which serves as the legislative body, along with the Executive Branch and Judicial Branch. Together these bodies represent the UW-L student body on the campus, state, and federal levels. UWLSA representatives work closely with the University of Wisconsin System to serve the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

The UWLSA exists to serve the students of UW-L. The student body is always encouraged to contact the senator who represents their respective school on campus with any issues, concerns, or questions. Students can locate their senator, along with contact information, on the Student Senate membership page.
