Derek Nelson
College of Business Administration Senator
Derek is a
Junior majoring in Information Systems and
Finance. He intends to graduate in 2013 and
is originally from Baraboo, WI.
Derek
chose to attend UW-L because of its business
program and competitive atmosphere. He has
been involved in many activities ranging
from the No Coal Coalition to SUFAC and is
operating his own Venture Group in downtown
La Crosse.
Derek's goals for the year are to increase
the awareness of the student body on issues
circulating Student Senate and the
UW-System. He plans on achieving this goal
through extensive use of online engagement,
attending org meetings, meeting with fellow
senators and peer interaction. He will
work diligently with the body to resolve
issues that matter most in a fair, balanced
manner.
