University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Student
College of Liberal Studies Senator
Chelsea FischerOne of this year's College of Liberal Studies Senator is Chelsea Fischer. She is a third year student with senior standing and a returning member to Student Senate. Chelsea will be graduating with her two degrees in political science and public administration. She previously resided in Sussex, Wisconsin, which is located near Waukesha and Milwaukee.
Chelsea applied to a few universities, but ended up choosing UW-La Crosse because she felt at home when she visited campus. Additionally, it doesn't hurt that this was the prettiest university she had ever seen, with the bluffs providing an amazing backdrop. Chelsea is the currently working as a Copy Editor for The Racquet and Assistant Office Manager in the Political Science/Public Administration Department at UW-L. Additionally, she is a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the political science honor society.
Deciding to return to Student Senate was an easy choice for Chelsea. Last year, she joined to have a direct impact on the choices made at UW-L. She does that by serving as Secretary for AIOC, being a student representative in JLRRC, and working on the Legislative Affairs Committee. This year Chelsea is trying to expand awareness of Student Senate by working with The Racquet, Eagle Guides, and UW-L 100 classes. Throughout the 2013-2014 academic year Chelsea wants to work with students to ensure the high level of services provided to the students never falters.
