University of Wisconsin - La Crosse Student
Senate
College of Liberal Studies Senator
Chelsea Fischer
One of this year's College of Liberal Studies Senator is
Chelsea Fischer. She is a second year student with junior
standing, and working toward her degrees in political
science and public administration. Chelsea previously lived
in Sussex, Wisconsin, which is located near Waukesha and
Milwaukee.
Chelsea applied to a few universities, but ended up choosing UW-L because she felt at home when she visited campus. Additionally, it doesn't hurt that this was the prettiest university she had ever seen, with the bluffs providing an amazing backdrop. Chelsea is the currently the President of the Political Science/Public Administration Association, a Copy Editor for the Racquet, Assistant Office Manager in the Political Science/Public Administration Department at UW-L, and Secretary of the College Democrats.

This is Chelsea's first year
serving on the Student
Senate and she joined to
have a direct impact on the
choices made at UW-L. One of
her goals is to help
students understand the
voting process on campus
this election year, and to
have an increased student
turnout at the polls in
November. Throughout the
2012-2013 academic year,
Chelsea wants to work with
students to ensure the high
level of services provided
to the students never
falters.
