Rafaela Stancic
Rainbow Unity Senator
Rafaela is a junior majoring in Political
Science and Women's Studies. She intends to
graduate in May of
2013 and is originally from Onalaska, Wisconsin.
Rafaela chose to attend UW-L due to its
excellent overall academic reputation and strong
Political
Science department. Rafaela is involved in
Rainbow Unity.
Rafaela's goals for the year are to represent
the needs of her constituency and provide them a
voice
within the Student Association. She will also
work with other Diversity Organization senators
and the
greater Student Association to ensure that the
rights of minority students are upheld and that
UW-L
remains a safe, non-discriminating and inclusive
environment committed to promoting diversity in
all
its forms. Rafaela will work to accomplish her
goals by attending Rainbow Unity meetings,
promoting
awareness of and educating people about the
LGBTQA community through student panels, and
meeting
with her fellow senators to discuss LGBTQA and
other social justice issues on campus.
