Our highly-trained team of health care providers provides students with convenient, accessible, comprehensive, high-quality and low-cost health care. Counseling
Individual counseling provides the opportunity to talk confidentially about anything you want and to get help in solving problems, addressing relationship issues, resolving a personal crisis, and addressing issues of depression, anxiety, stress, eating disorders and sexual assault. |

Acute Care
Both walk-in and appointments are available during office hours for assessments of acute medical needs. The screening clinic is operated by our highly-trained staff on a first-come first-serve basis. For examples of acute medical problems, click here.

Allergy Injections
Allergy injections may be arranged at the Health Center when the allergens and written orders are supplied by the student's personal physician or allergist. Students are required to make an appointment with a Student Health Center health care provider before beginning allergy injections. All orders must be updated yearly.
There will be a $20.00 administration fee per semester for this service. |

Consultation & Referral
With the student's permission, consultations and referrals can occur with several on/off campus offices. Student's personal health care provider, local clinics and hospitals, Dean of Students, Counseling and Testing Center, Disability Resource Services, Athletics, International Education, Residence Life, County Health Department can all be contacted.

Costs
Medical care at the Student Health Center is covered in full or in part by student tuition/fees. A minimal charge may be assessed for some immunizations, lab tests, equipment, radiology services, and supplies. Minimal fees are also assessed for birth control products and dispensary medications. Gynecological & Reproductive Services
These services include examinations such as PAP testing, contraceptive services, genitourinary care, and colposcopy. Students may call 785-8558 to schedule an appointment.

Immunizations Services
The Health Center offers a variety of immunizations to help students meet departmental and college requirements and to prepare themselves for international travel. For more information regarding types of immunization available and the cost associated with these immunizations, please click here. |
Laboratory Services
Laboratory services include routine blood counts; blood chemistries; urinalysis; cultures; STD; PAP; pregnancy; and HIV testing. A minimal charge is assessed for some testing. Students will be informed of this charge prior to the testing. Medication Dispensary

Medical Evaluation and Treatment
Outpatient care is available on an appointment basis Monday through Friday. Students may call 785-8558 to schedule an appointment.

Minor Injuries
The Health Center provides care for sprains, strains, lacerations, contusions and minor fractures.

Minor Surgical Procedures
Procedures requiring local anesthesia are performed at the Health Center, i.e. treatment of ingrown toenails, wart removal, incision and draining of abscesses, suturing and biopsies.

Nutrition
Registered dietitians, senior students, and dietetic interns from Viterbo University will be available all day on Tuesdays for personalized nutrition counseling. Sessions are designed to cover YOUR nutrition concerns. Possible topics include:

Patient Education
Each visit is an opportunity for students to be educated about their health, medical care, and lifestyle choices.

Physical Therapy
The Physical Therapy department provides evaluation and treatment of acute orthopedici injuries, sports injuries, and conditions which require post-surgical rehabilitation. Crutches, canes, and other orthopedic devices are available.

Primary Care
The Health Center provides a wide range of services to students. Some appointment types include: physical exams, acute and chronic illness, pain management, injuries, mental health and dietary counseling.

Radiological Services
Radiological services include all non-invasive x-ray based imaging services. A minimal charge is assessed for all services. Students will be informed of this charge prior to any procedures. All other imaging services will be referred to the hospital/clinic of patient choice. Clinical Research
The Health Center participates in ongoing clinical trials sponsored by pharmaceutical companies and supports university research projects. Compensation is available for some clinical trials. Check our website or contact the Health Center for study information.

Urgent Care
Same-day appointments and a walk-in clinic are available during regular clinic hours for the assessment and treatment of urgent medical concerns and injuries. Call for a same-day appointment.
