Budget Process

General Budget Process

• Budget templates are sent to budgeted programs.
• All budget requests are submitted to SUFAC Chair
• Budget requests and instructions are sent to the corresponding Sub-Committees: Athletics, Organizations, Student Services and Buildings, and Cultural Affairs. It is an opportunity for the Sub-Committee to ask questions to understand the organization’s needs.
• Sub–committees finalize their recommendations for 2011 – 12 respective budget requests. Budgeted entities may appeal to SUFAC
• Budget deliberations: SUFAC formally reviews and discusses the recommended budgets.
• SUFAC finalizes the amount allocated to funded programs. Budgeted entities may appeal to Student Senate if needed.
• Finalized Budgets are sent to Student Senate.
• Budgets approved by Student Senate are sent to Office of Budget & Finance.
