The Leisure Lifestyle Center serves persons with disabilities, physical and mental, those with addictions, developmental disabilities, battered women, youth at risk and some from the general public.  The Leisure Lifestyle Center has a high tech video system for clinical observation of therapeutic recreation students and a host of tools to assess a persons abilities and needs as they relate to leisure.

To be eligible for an Assistantship, students must be unconditionally admitted to an HPER graduate program.  Assistants are paid a monthly stiped and receive health benefits.  Out-of-state tuition waivers are available on a competitive basis.  The in-state portion of tuition is not part of an assistantship award.  Wisconsin has tuition reciprocity with the state of Minnesota.  Most assistantships are nine-month positions from late August to late May.

Applications are currently available for Fall Semester 1999.  Applications and references must be received by March 1 or by the 1st of each month thereafter until all positions are filled.
