April 9th: OxFam Hunger Banquet
This eye opening event gives students perspective on the poverty crisis in our world. Students are given “meals” in proportion to what the world has to eat, which is, sadly, often times not much. A guest speaker graces us with their presence as meals are being presented. This is a real-life situation that will open students eyes to what's really going on in the world. You just might leave hungry!
April 15th: Celebration of Involvement and Leadership
4:30 p.m. Valhalla
At the end of each academic year this ceremony is held to award students, faculty, staff, and student organizations with outstanding displays of leadership, volunteerism and/or involvement. Individuals and organizations can be nominated by peers, or by their own organization to receive an award. Everyone gathers for a fine evening of food, fun, and recognition! Your efforts don't go unnoticed!!
Nominations begin March 6, 2008 and continue until April 3, 2008. You can submit nominations online by clicking on each recognition link listed below. If you have any questions or need assistance please contact The Involvement Center at 785-6600.
