Web cam photographing Centennial Hall construction

Thanks to Educational Technologies/Information Technology Services and the Budget and Finance Office views of the construction of Centennial Hall are available live via Web cam.

“We hope the Web stream can be used to increase our rich media on UW-L's campus Web site," says Jim Jorstad, director of Educational Technologies. Additionally, they'll save daily individual images to a server to combine into a QuickTime movie. Pulling the project together took the team efforts of (from left in photo) Larry Sleznikow, Jim Jorstad, Terry Wirkus, Ron Thompson, Paul Currier, Matt Lewis (not pictured) and Tim Foster (not pictured).

See the construction live. Visit www.uwlax.edu/edtech/centennial-hall.

Dean Bill Colclough shoots hole-in-one at CBA golf fundraiser

College of Business Administration Dean Bill Colclough, who's golfed for about 40 years, photo right, shot his first ever hole-in-one on hole No. 3 June 12 at the sixth annual Greater UW-L CBA Challenge. Eighty golfers, mostly UW-L alumni, attended the fundraising event at Northern Bay Golf Resort near Arkdale. Approximately $7,000 was raised to support international business students who will be traveling overseas.

Golfers donated $5 to compete against Colclough on hole No. 3, which he played all day. If Colclough had been a registered golfer in the tournament, he'd have been eligible to win a $5,000 cash prize. Golfers on the hole with Colclough for his stellar shot included, from left: Paul Manchester, '00; Ben Bemis, '05; and Tim D'Amato, '75. Not pictured, Rick Norman, '83. Photo by Norman.
