Florence Aliesch is passionate about creating well-designed publications. For more than 25 years she has worked in the printing industry. Through those years the development of the computer in the field has given her even greater opportunity for creativity.
Her creative efforts have earned national recognition from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. Aliesch has earned more than 20 design awards from the Wisconsin Newspaper Advertising Executives Association, International Newspaper Marketing Association and the Advertising Club of La Crosse.
Currently, Aliesch is the director of publications for the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where she oversees the publications team, coordinating the design and production of university-printed materials and managing the university's visual identity. Prior to joining UW-L, Aliesch was one of the graphic designers and the promotions coordinator for the La Crosse Tribune, and a graphic artist at Crescent Printing Co. in Onalaska.
An active community volunteer, Aliesch is a member of the Scenic Bluffs Chapter of the Red Cross Board of Directors and Rotary Lights Steering Committee. She has also held the position of president of the La Crosse Festivals Inc. Board of Directors. In 2005, Aliesch was awarded the YWCA Tribute to Outstanding Women for her volunteer work.
