David Johnson provides information and publicity for UW-L's 19 intercollegiate athletics program. Included in his duties are working on publications, compiling and maintaining game-day statistics and records, and writing game-day stories and features, as well as serving as the media relations liaison.
Prior to coming to UW-L, Johnson served as Sports Information Director at Millikin University in Decatur, Ill. He was an assistant sports information director at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls and at The College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va. Johnson also worked as a graduate assistant in the SID office at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
Johnson has been an active member in the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), serving on the Job Seekers Committee since 2000. He was also a member of the organization's Radio/TV Liaison Committee.
On campus, Johnson has worked on a variety of committees. He serves on the UW-L Wall of Fame Committee, the Chancellor's Golf Committee, and the L-Club Communications and Public Relations Committee.
