Upward Bound College Visits

Here are details about college visits coming up on October 29 and October 30. If you signed up AND HAD YOUR PARENT PERMISSION IN BY THE DEADLINE (October 9) but your name is not here, please email Cathy at vanmaren.cath<at>uwlax.edu or call us at 608 785-8539 as soon as possible! If you will not be able to attend a visit for which you are listed, please email or call right away.

GETTING TO UW-L: If you are driving to UW-L, plan ahead. You may purchase a day permit for $4 from the Protective Services Office (the little building near Wimberly Hall on the corner of East Avenue and Farwell Street) OR you will need to find street parking. Either option will require extra time - if you park on the street, you may have to park several blocks from the Cowley lot. On campus parking fines are high. Don't make the group wait because you didn't leave yourself enough time! Consider taking the bus for $1 - take the #4 from Central (leaves there going north at about 20 after and 10 to the hour and arrives at Cowley lot on the hour or half hour) or the #5 bus from Logan (leaves there going south at about 25 after or 5 to the hour and arrives at 13th and Badger on the hour or half hour (walk to Cowley lot)).
