The latest School Update!

2012-2013 Second Semester Calendar  and  SecondSemester Overview

ENROLLMENT ALWAYS OPEN!!! We are always seeking 9th graders who are taking college prep classes and would like to attend college. Students must be eligible by parent education (no parent has bachelor's degree) OR by family income. Please have students start their application online OR print out and mail an application.

ADVANCED PLACEMENT EXAM FEE WAIVERS - According to the College Board website:

State law in Wisconsin (Wisconsin State Statute 120.12(22)) requires each school district to pay the AP Exam fee for public school students who are eligible for free or reduced-cost lunches in the federal school lunch program under 42 USC 1758.

Other criteria for identifying eligible students [for fee waivers or reductions]

  • The student is a member of a family receiving public assistance.

  • The student is a resident in a federally subsidized public housing project.

  • The student is a resident in a foster home.

  • The student is an enrollee in a program for the economically disadvantaged, such as Federal Free or Reduced Lunch program, Upward Bound/TRIO after-school programs, and other youth outreach agencies.

The College Board's site on AP fee reductions says:

The College Board provides a $28 fee reduction per exam for students with financial need. For each exam taken with a fee reduction, the school forgoes its $8 rebate, resulting in a cost of $53 per exam for the student.
