GREAT NEWS in our most recent (2006-2007) Annual Performance Report!!!

Our "four to six years" figures are GREAT! Of students who graduated four to six years ago, EIGHTY PERCENT have graduated or are still enrolled in school! Our "four to eight years" figures are similar - 79% of you have graduated or are still enrolled. This is super fantastic in a target area where fewer than 25% of adults (average for the three counties is about 16%) have four year college degrees, according to the 2000 Census!

From the UB performance report for 2006-2007: Fifty-seven students graduated from the program from 2001 to 2003. Of these, 25 (44%) have graduated from postsecondary institutions [including] 19 from four-year institutions [and] 1 with a professional degree from a specialized health college ... Twenty (36%) are still enrolled in postsecondary programs. Four to eight year graduates (81 students from 1999 to 2003) have a 53% postsecondary graduation rate with 26% still enrolled."

"UB is definitely helping me prepare for college because not only does it force me to work hard in all of my college prep classes, but it also supplies me with the resources (tutors, college info) to be successful. I know I need to work hard in my classes and UB gives me that extra boost to get motivated and stay informed. I absolutely love the workshops that UB provides for us even though the workload can be rather tedious. I don't regret joining UB; I have only gained knowledge from my UB experience."
- Freda Fair, 2002 UB graduate, graduate of Macalester College
